Additives for Recycling
Additives for Recycling
Mechanical recycling is the most widely used method globally for reusing plastics from industrial waste or domestic and commercial disposal, that is, a long chain is favored with the correct direction of plastic waste and the same goes for their reuse after disposal.
Thinking of increasingly promoting the processing of recycled polymers, Cristal Master has developed a wide range of products that promotes the improvement of the process and the properties of the final part produced with recycled resin, aiming at obtaining quality products that can replace virgin polymers in certain applications.
Antioxidant
Antioxidants protect the recycled material from further thermoxidative damage, preventing increased resin yellowing and carbonization formation during the process.
Bleach and Optical Brightener
The use of bleaches and optical brighteners is a great option to promote a greater whiteness in the final piece.
Drylink
Drylink aims to improve the transformation process and the quality of the final part. It acts by removing moisture from the recycled resin during processing, in addition to increasing the mechanical strength of the final part due to its formulation containing an interfacial agent.
Drylink Plus
Drylink Plus aims to improve the transformation process and the quality of the final part. It acts by removing moisture from the recycled resin during processing, in addition to considerably increasing the mechanical strength of the final part due to its formulation that combines an impact modifier and an interfacial agent.
Flowlink
It acts by reacting with the functional groups responsible for generating odor in recycled resins, converting them into non-volatile compounds that no longer release odor.
Flowlink Bright
It turns the material whiter, improves the thermal stability and flow of the molten material, as well as promotes the compatibility of the different polymers present in the recycled resin.
Flowlink Plus
It increases the thermal stability and flow of the molten material, as well as promoting the compatibility of the different polymers present in the recycled resin.
Impact Modifier
Impact strength modification increases the durability and strength of a variety of plastic resins both at room temperature and at temperatures below 0°C. In recycled resins, the incorporation of impact modifier can be a good alternative to enable the use of this type of resin in long-term applications, and the amount of impact modifier added depends on the desired level of modification.
Moisture Absorber
Captures the moisture present in the resin during processing, preventing the appearance of imperfections such as bubbles in blown parts and films (“fisheye”) or even splay in injected parts (roughness and “burst” marks on the surface of the parts), which lead to a reduction in the mechanical strength of parts manufactured with recycled resin.
Odor Neutralizer
It acts by reacting with the functional groups responsible for generating odor in recycled resins, converting them into non-volatile compounds that no longer release odor.
Viscosity Improver
Promotes an increase in the molecular weight of recycled PET, in addition to making it compatible with some polymeric contaminants. , resistance to heat and impact.
